沒想到分院儀式只要坐在那裡戴上帽子就可以了，我稍稍放下了一點心。看了幾個新生的分院，我注意到，分院帽有時候會很快就會報出學校，但是對於有些人，它會等一會才會決定。那個叫做納威·隆巴頓的男孩的順序在我前面，他在被分進格蘭芬多學院後激動得忘記了拿下自己的帽子就跑向了餐桌。

過了一會兒，我聽到了自己的名字。我走上臺，拿起分院帽，努力剋制住給它一個清泉如水讓它好好洗個澡的衝動，戴上它後坐了下來。

分院帽比我想象中的大一點，帽簷滑下來遮住了我的視線。

黑暗和沉默中，我忽然聽見大腦中有一個聲音響起：“其實……Granger小姐，請務必不要這樣做，因為我非常非常討厭洗澡。”
